Prototype for 'company of the future'

WAWPUF started out in one stay-at-home mom's living room 20 years ago as a way to bring in enough money to allow her to be with her children. Now, the Woodstock company affords several other moms that opportunity along with allowing those who need flexible schedules to keep a job. Founder Alice Bidwell came up with her company when her children were small and her engineer husband, Norman, brought home some assembly work from his office. "He said, 'Put this together and they'll pay you for it,'" Bidwell said. That's how WAWPUF, which stands for "whatever anyone will pay us for" was born. READ MORE >>
